We are thrilled to welcome two new Independent Travel Advisors to the Brownell Hosting Program, Claudia Austin and Margaret Pratt. They came to Birmingham in December for a 3-day training with the Hosting Support Team. They chatted with us for a few minutes about where they came from, why they chose Brownell, and what they are most excited about!

Where were you working before Brownell?

Claudia: I came from American Express Travel. I was there for three years as a travel counselor and worked in the hospitality industry before that.

Margaret: I came from another travel agency. I have been in travel for 30 years, working in corporate, leisure, and accounting departments.

Why did you choose Brownell as your host agency?

Claudia: It is the best in the industry. Brownell offers great support in marketing and accounting. I looked at a lot of agencies, but when I talked to Brownell it was like night and day. The conversation flowed easily, and everyone was extremely professional. Also, the travel suppliers I talked to had only positive feedback.

Margaret: Brownell is a team, and I needed that approach. I know it would be the perfect fit for me and for my clients.

What aspect of joining Brownell are you most excited?

Claudia: Creating my own brand with the backup of the Brownell team. I am also looking forward to Brownell’s Virtuoso and preferred partner programs affiliations.

Margaret: Better ties with and the sales support from travel partners. The Brownell reputation is the best with sales reps, so even if they don’t know you as an advisor, they know Brownell and will make things happen for you.
