In only a few days the Brownell family will be traveling from across the United States to Las Vegas for the 27^th annual Virtuoso Travel Week. “What’s Virtuoso Travel Week?” you ask? Keep reading to see how this fabulous networking opportunity is vital to our Independent Advisors.

What is Virtuoso Travel Week?

Virtuoso Travel Week takes place in August each year. Over 4,000 Virtuoso advisors and suppliers from around the world go to Las Vegas for a week of meetings, presentations, networking, and even a little fun (think: meetings + champagne).

What do you do at Virtuoso Travel Week?

For 4 of the days, Advisors meet with suppliers during 4-minute meetings (aka speed dating). As a Brownell IC, you will meet with hundreds of hotel, cruise, destination, and onsite representatives. You have a chance to briefly discuss the property and, more importantly, to get face time with important contacts that you will be working with in the future.

What else do you do?

Suppliers host breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and cocktail parties throughout the week. One morning you could have breakfast with the Fairmont Hotel Group, lunch with the Four Seasons, dinner with Peninsula, and a cocktail party with Abercrombie and Kent (and don’t forget those 4-minute meetings in between!).

There are also several days that are filled with trainings. One day is dedicated to VAST, Virtuoso Active and Specialty Travel, and another has smaller training on various topics—from social media to a specific destination.

Why is attending Virtuoso Travel Week important?

Travel Week is jam-packed with valuable networking opportunities. You can stay up to date on the latest travel trends, learn about new hotels (including hotels that are just new to you), meet other advisors, and get to personally meet suppliers from around the world.

As an Independent Contractor, building relationships with suppliers is key to the success of your business. And the best way to do it is live and in-person. The next time a client needs that extra special treatment, you can call on your friend/the manager you met in Las Vegas!
