2016 Brownell Academy
We just returned from our annual company meeting, Brownell Academy. During this weekend, the Brownell team and our travel partners travel from around the world for a weekend of learning, networking, and fun. This time is so special because our Independent Advisors, support team, in-house advisors, and assistants are all together in one place – and this year it was in Sarasota at the Ritz-Carlton! The theme was Brownell Under the Big Top as a nod to Sarasota’s history with the circus and Ringling family. The weekend was a huge success! See what a few of our Independent Advisors had to say + get an inside look at what we did this weekend below!
Not that I needed it but I feel like the whole weekend in Sarasota was a steady reminder of why I chose to join Brownell.
The Brownell Academy planning team arrived a few days early to prep for the big event. They prepared all the bags for the Brownell team and our travel partners, toured the beautiful hotel, and even had a little fun.
I wanted to say THANK YOU!!! for the most fabulous five days! I loved every minute of it and feel more inspired and grateful than ever to be a part of such an amazing team!
On Thursday, our Independent Advisors arrived. That afternoon they attended Deep Dive trainings with our partners at Africa Inscribed and Belmond, and Ritz-Carlton hosted a welcome dinner at the Beach Club.
OMG!! What an amazing fabulous OVER THE BIG TOP time I had being welcomed into the Brownell family at Brownell Academy! There are not enough words in enough languages… truly, to describe the place of gratitude I am in right now. I really did feel at times that I was in a dream and that I had made up this imaginary place (tears are in my eyes as I type), but it really is all true!
Friday morning after a breakfast hosted by Silversea Cruises, our Independent Advisors had a special session to learn more from our hosting team. Brownell CEO and President Troy Haas and Executive Vice President Meg North also joined for Q&A. Starwood hosted a lunch and then everyone met for roundtable discussions. Topics included marketing ideas, tips for closing the sale, email management, social media & digital branding, insurance, introducing fees, and more. Friday concluded with the General Session, where Troy gave his keynote, and a Midway Carnival (sponsored by Tourism Australia) complete with a ringmaster and juggler!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the AMAZING Brownell Academy!! It just reinforced, 200%, why I chose Brownell and I am so happy and proud to be a part of this family.
Saturday morning kicked off bright and early with a workout. Our friends at Every Girl Fitness traveled to Sarasota for a special circus-themed boot camp! Classic Vacations hosted breakfast, and then the Travel Advisors had quick 6-minute trainings with hotels partners. Everyone came together for lunch sponsored by Regent Seven Seas Cruises, and then the trainings continued with our cruise, tour, and onsite partners.
Thank you so much for another fabulous weekend with Brownell Academy!
The evening concluded with our special Awards & Recognition Dinner. During this dinner, advisors who reach certain sales goals are recognized, and the highly anticipated destinations for the Devonian and 1887 Club trips is revealed. The Devonians are going to LA and staying at The Beverly Hills Hotel, and the 1887 Club & Griffins are going to Mallorca, Spain!
Definitely the BEST meeting yet!!
Brownell Academy is such a special time where the Brownell family can be together. We can’t wait for next year!
